Every Registered Citizen of Portsmouth Can Vote Early! Early Voting Started Friday, September 23rd, and ends Saturday, November 5th. Please visit our local registrar's office at 801 Crawford Street, Portsmouth, VA 23704 (1st Floor of City Hall). Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m. You can also Cast your Vote Early on Saturday, October 29th, and Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m.

For elderly or disabled individuals who are unable to get out of their cars to stand in line, CURBSIDE Voting is allowed, please have the person assisting the individual, to enter into the Polling Location and ask an Election Officer for Assistance.

Polling places are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Anyone in line at 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

If you get to your polling place without acceptable ID, you can sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot. You will need to submit a copy of a valid ID by 12:00 noon the Friday after the election. You will be given instructions on what to do so your vote can count.
